Kiera is a Senior Physiotherapist and a current member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA). She completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the Australian Catholic University and is now advancing her expertise by undertaking a Master of Clinical Physiotherapy, majoring in Continence and Pelvic Health, at Curtin University.
In her final year of university Kiera completed a Women’s Health public hospital placement where her passion for pelvic floor physiotherapy and pregnancy related conditions began. During this time Kiera gained valuable experience in both the maternity and outpatient’s ward. Further to this, Kiera spent many years of her early career working in private practice treating musculoskeletal conditions. Kiera loves to combine her knowledge of both the pelvic floor with her musculoskeletal skills to treat women and help them achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
Kiera, as a result, has developed extensive experience in treating musculoskeletal pain, pregnancy and postnatal conditions. Her main clinical focus, however, lies in the management of complex pelvic health concerns.
Kiera has a special interest in the treatment of conditions such as vaginismus, chronic pelvic pain, vestibulodynia, endometriosis, pudendal neuralgia, and bladder pain syndrome (including hunner lesion disease/interstitial cystitis). She also supports patients with pelvic organ prolapse, faecal urgency and incontinence, and provides individualised care for birth preparation, postnatal recovery, and pessary fitting for prolapse and continence management. Kiera is passionate about providing inclusive care to the LGBTIQA+ community, including support for pain associated with binding, as well as pelvic floor rehabilitation and physiotherapy following gender-affirming surgery.
She currently runs group exercise classes at the clinic and works one day each week on the maternity ward at Norwest Private Hospital, offering support to women in the early postnatal period. Her approach is warm, inclusive, and evidence-based, with a strong focus on empowering individuals to regain comfort, control, and confidence in their bodies.
Outside of work, Kiera enjoys spending time with her two much-loved dogs, Buddy and Bear.
