Are you our next casual receptionist?

Sydney Women’s Physiotherapy/Pelvic Connections is always looking for their next casual receptionist. Sydney Women’s Physiotherapy has been in operation for thirteen years. We are a team dedicated to providing mentoring, support and team work.

Sydney Women’s Physiotherapy is looking for a RECEPTIONIST to cover the following shifts:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 2 pm – 8 pm
  • Friday 9 am -4 pm
  • Saturday 9 am – 4 pm
  • As well as the ability to work full 38 hour week if needed to cover other staff members when on leave

Position Descriptions:

Excellent customer service and confident communication skills over the phone and in person are very important. You will be dealing with the daily operational requirements of a busy physiotherapy clinic, supporting the therapists and their patients.

– converting phone enquires into bookings

– explaining our services and triage to the correct physiotherapist

Your ability to navigate technology and social media is definitely an advantage, ie. creating posts, and following up on enquires, using email and our cloud based patient management system.

The clinic is based in Bella Vista with private parking and easy access to bus transport.

Your task will involve:

  • Greeting patients
  • Phone and email communication with patients, therapist, work cover, insurance companies, suppliers, and local businesses
  • General reception duties – appointment scheduling, processing payments (Medicare, HICAPS, eftpos Machines)
  • Administrative support to all physiotherapists (printing off letters, meeting minute taking)
  • Data entry (Upload patient information sheets to the data base)
  • Organising Pilates and yoga classes (timetable, marketing, waitlist management)
  • General office duties (tidying front office and treatment rooms, scanning, printing faxing)
  • Office cleaning (vacuuming, wiping front glass door, equipment cleaning)
  • Social media/marketing (website, Instagram, Facebook page management)

Skills/experience:

  • previous reception experience working in a fast pace office/clinic environment preferred but training will be provided for the right applicant
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently as well as being an excellent team player.
  • Experience using practice management systems such as Cliniko, and accounting management systems such as Xero is an advantage
  • Ability to multitask, problem solve and have great organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills (phone and face to face)
  • Efficient computer skills, internet skills and keyboard skills (you can deal with technology!)
  • Ability to show compassion for our scope of physiotherapy (we are specialised women’s health physiotherapist with sensitive patient concerns)
  • Ability to receive and give feedback

Additional criteria to apply:

  • Be comfortable with and around babies ( you occasionally need to support the patient’s babies during their appointments, settle them in their prams)
  • Agree to cover the 4 evening shifts Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 2-8pm.
  • Agree to cover the occasional Saturday shift 9am – 4pm.

We are a team dedicated to mentoring, support, professional development and team work.

We are looking for a physiotherapist with the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Qualified physiotherapist
  • Registered with AHPRA
  • SIRA accredited or willing to be SIRA accredited
  • Experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy
  • Experience or interest in pelvic health physiotherapy
  • Willing to continue learning
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Enthusiastic about spreading the word of pelvic health
  • Confidence to perform meet and greet with like-minded health professionals or willing to build confidence in this area
  • Confident in providing exercise prescription
