What is good bladder function?

A healthy bladder will hold 300-400mL per day, pass urine 4-7 times per day, and at maximum once per night (this may increase with age).

What are the signs and symptoms of poor bladder function?

  • Frequent need to urinate
  • A sensation of incomplete emptying or need to re-void
  • A rushing, urgent desire to void
  • Involuntary loss of urine
